General Assembly

The General Assembly acts as the supreme governing body of ESMO.

Activities and responsibilities

• Approving and revising, either partially or totally, the Bylaws of the Society
• Making statutory nominations
• Deliberating the points on the General Assembly agenda and deciding on agenda proposals
• Determining the amount of annual membership fees
• Approving the Society's budget and financial reports
• Being responsible for all other items not reserved to other organs of the Society

Structure

• Composed of all members of the Society
• Convened in written form (mail or elctronic), by the ESMO President once a year during the ESMO Congress.
  
• Presided by the immediate Past President
• Only ESMO Full, Junior, and Honorary members have the right to vote
• All decisions, except for other statutory rules, are calculated by a simple majority and an open show of hands
