Global Core Curriculum Task Force The Global Core Curriculum (GCC) Task Force is a joint venture between ESMO and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The goal is to define a global outline that will serve to guide the training of medical oncologists worldwide. Implementation of the Recommendations for a Global Core Curriculum in Medical Oncology serves to ensure that all patients have an equal chance of receiving treatment from well-trained physicians.
Activities and responsibilities
- Compiling collective knowledge and experience from international oncology experts
- Creating guidelines for standardizing the training of medical oncologists
- Encouraging continued education for professional excellence during a lifetime career of practice
- Improving the care of cancer patients worldwide
