ESMO International Symposium Working Group

The ESMO International Symposium (EIS) Working Group develops the scientific program of the ESMO International Symposia with the goal of meeting the constant need for updated information in specific fields of oncology on a multidisciplinary basis.

Activities and responsibilities

• Organizing Symposia in specific fields of oncology on a multidisciplinary basis
• Creating a well-balanced and comprehensive Symposium program
• Selecting the topics, the speakers and the Chairs of each EIS program
• Organizing the logistics of the organization of each Symposium

Structure

• Chair appointed by the Executive Committee after consultation with the previous Chair
• Two (2) permanent members are proposed by the Chair of the EIS Working Group to the ESMO Executive Committee for approval for a period of three (3) years and can be re-nominated
• Temporary members appointed for each specific Symposium by the permanent members and approved by the Executive Committee
