Developing Countries Task Force

The Developing Countries (DCTF) Task Force addresses the specific, educational needs of oncology healthcare specialists in developing countries*.

Activities and responsibilities

  • Supporting oncology specialists in less affluent countries
  • Sharing knowledge
  • Providing input for new topics for ESMO Minimum Clinical Recommendations
  • Improving local healthcare infrastructures
  • Promoting the ESMO Examination
  • Organizing meetings and education programs
  • Researching and compiling statistics on status of oncology in developing countries
  • Liaising with other ESMO committees, providing information about developing countries
  • Serving as a point of reference for developing regions

Structure

  • One member for each major geographical region, currently eight (8)
