ESMO Foundation

Its mission

The ESMO Foundation was created in 2004 to support the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) in its strive to improve the care of cancer patients in Europe and all over the globe (from prevention, to early diagnosis, treatment, palliative care and end of life care).
During our lifetime each of us or our loved ones face the possibility of being afflicted with cancer. Therefore, it is more important than ever to join forces to fight this devastating disease. To achieve our goals three major resources are needed:

  • Highly qualified healthcare professionals
  • Adequate healthcare infrastructures
  • Substantial financial support for research. training and knowledge transfer

The Foundation's aims are to advance the art, science, and practice of medical oncology, and to disseminate that knowledge as widely as possible. It supports ESMO activities such as awarding fellowships and grants, developing training courses, raising awareness about cancer on a political level publishing journals, books, and guidelines, and providing seminars for patients and their relatives.
The ESMO Foundation offers numerous possibilities for individuals, corporations and charitable organizations to contribute to the fight against cancer.

Your contribution and support to the ESMO Foundation increases the chances to achieve our ultimate goal to alleviate suffering by eradicating cancer, for ‘Together We Can Make a Difference!’

Make a donation & support opportunities

You can make a donation to support our global alliance committed to working towards the eradication of cancer.
Since its creation in October 2004, the Foundation received many donations from individuals, corporations and charitable organizations to support, to advance and to disseminate the art, science, and practice of oncology in order to ensure the best possible treatment and care for cancer patients.

The ESMO Foundation offers numerous possibilities for individuals, corporations and charitable organizations to help support its work through the following types of donations.
