The Clinical Research Fellowships are designed to:

• Provide training in clinical research in renowned European cancer centers
• Support efforts to expand professional networks through collaboration with institutions of excellence
• Provide the necessary support to develop clinical oncology research projects

• 35,000€  for 1 year
• Host institutions will receive 1,000€ for administration costs

Up to 6 Clinical Research Fellowships are available per year.

Candidates must:

• Be an ESMO member (or apply for membership)
• Be an oncologist with at least 2 years of clinical experience in internal medicine or medical, radiation or surgical oncology
• Be under the age of 40
• Be proficient in English

Application must include:

• Completed application form
• Curriculum vitae and digital photograph
• Detailed clinical research project proposal including timelines
• Brief statement of project goals and how the acquired techniques will be used in the home institute/country
• Name of host institute and  acceptance letter from the person responsible for the project at the host facility
• Letter of recommendation from the candidate’s department head

The candidate’s supervisors in both the host and home institute should be Full or Associate ESMO members.
