Why can't I login?

The username and password you used are different from when you originally registered with us.

You misused lower case or upper case.

You may not have received the right username and password sent by our server.

You asked our server to send you another password, but you still use the old one.

I have forgotten my username and password
I can't log in using my username and password
If you have forgotten your username and password, click "forgotten password" at the log in area, insert your first name, family name and country and select "Retrieve Your Password by Personal Details" using your E-mail used when registered. You will then receive an E-mail with the correct information. If you sill have problems, please contact membership@esmo.org.

How can I search for other ESMO members?
Login with your personal profile, select "Search the ESMO online membership directory".
I can't browse any member's profile?
ESMO has listed on the "online membership directory" only members that have given the permission to be listed in the electronic membership directory. If you can not find the person that you are looking for, please write an e-mail to membership@esmo.org.
Can I share my membership with my friend?
You can give them access to your username and password. However, we strongly suggest you do not share your password in case of misuse and for security reasons.
Membership - Payment
Can I pay my membership fee by credit card online?
Yes you can with Visa and Mastercard. If you would like to pay by American Express, you can send us a copy of the credit card and copy of the invoice with your signature and payments details. We will process the payment in Swiss Francs only.
Why is my credit not accepted by the system
Can I pay the membership fee with a bank transfer
Download from your personal profile a copy of your invoice and follow the payment instructions. For reference of the payment details, refer to your invoice address.
Why do you charge the fee in EUR?
ESMO is a non-profit organization with its Head office in Lugano which is in Europe and this is the mostly used currency in Europe.
How can I check if the Membership fee is paid?
Login with your personal details, select "Check your membership status and pay your fee" and click on the membership year that your are interested, and select "Print Invoice". Download the login procedure here.
After the payment, do I receive a receipt?
You can download copy of the payment confirmation any time from our online Database here. Just login with your personal login details, select "Check your membership status and pay your fee" and click on the membership year that your are interested and select print invoice or view invoice.
Why have I been invoiced for the full Membership fee even if I am in a Developing Country (DC)?
ESMO defines "Developing Countries" according the World Bank list countries that have a PPP lover than USD 10'000.00. However, this is not a membership status but has to be considered as an ESMO benefit. You have to apply for the reduced fee each year.
How can I apply for Developing Country fee?
Login to the online membership database here, select "check your membership status and pay your fee" and select "re-apply for DC fee". Within 48 hours you will be invoiced with the reduced fee.
What are the benefits if I apply as DC?
You will have the same benefits as all ESMO members but you will have online access to Annals of Oncology only. Select here for more details.
Membership – Annals of Oncology
Yes. Annals of Oncology is a benefit and all ESMO members are entitled to receive a hard copy of the Journal and online access.

Why can I not access Annals of Oncology online with the given login details?
Annals of Oncology login details are provided by Oxford University Press and they are not the same at the membership database. Send an E-mail to membership@esmo.org asking for login to Annals of Oncology.
If I change my mailing address, how do I have to proceed for Annals of Oncology?
Update your personal profile in the ESMO membership online database. Every week the ESMO membership Services provides Oxford University Press with any address changes and updates.
Membership – Applications
Which documents are requested for an application to membership?
If I do not have the sponsor ID?
ESMO Head Office is not entitled to provide applicants with the sponsor's ID. You have to contact your sponsor and ask for the personal ESMO Membership ID. If the sponsor can not remember it, he can login to the membership database with his personal login details and ID is viewable at "My Personal data".
Who is a sponsor?
ESMO Full members in good standing can sponsor applications; they only need to provide the applicant with the family name and the ID registered in the database.
I can not find a sponsor – What can I do?
Send an E-mail to membership@esmo.org and we will provide you with a list of some ESMO members in your country.

How can I upload documents for my application?

Save the document as a PDF document, select "Upload" in the section "Upload Files" select "Browse" in order to find your PDF document saved on your PC, select the document, and click on "upload" in order to finalize the process.

If you can not upload the document you can send it as an attachment to membership@esmo.org indicating your ESMO ID.
When will my application be approved?
ESMO has currently two application deadlines: 30 June and 31 December. Fifteen days after the application deadline we will inform you accordingly.
When will I receive my ESMO membership ID?
The membership ID is sent to all candidates once you have registered online the login detail and the E-mail address. However, please note that at this stage you have not applied for membership. In order to do so, you have to follow all six steps requested by the system. |
