Young Oncologist Program

Young Oncologists (YO) are defined as medical oncologists under 40 years of age who are either

- fellows in training to whom ESMO proposes educational activities and fellowships
or
- young certified medical oncologists to whom ESMO offers oncology updates, continuing medical education (CME), career opportunities and the unique possibility to discuss future challenges in medical oncology.

ESMO’s Young Oncologists Committee (YOC) is dedicated to attracting young and talented medical oncologists to ESMO by providing support and valuable partnerships from early on in their careers. Among the numerous activities of the YOC is the preparation of the dedicated YO Congress sessions which include the YO Masterclass, Breakfast sessions, Forum and Vesalius
Cocktail.

In addition, the committee has organised a session for Young Oncologists entitled “Fellowships in Europe: Educational opportunities for European Young Medical Oncologists.” Speakers in this session are representatives of ESMO and of the National Societies of Spain, Greece, Italy and France.
