The 2010 IMPAKT Breast Cancer Conference, held in Brussels, 5-8 May, was a resounding success, with over 737 participants from 62 countries.  The 4 day conference designed with a comprehensive program, opened with a dedicated full day Early-career oncologist training course attended by over 80 participants.  Day 2 was the official opening of the conference, with presentations on the best abstracts submitted showcasing the latest and first-time presented scientific data followed by organised discussions and presentations given by leading experts.  
 
New to the 2010 program was the poster walking session led by an expert faculty member providing explanations and insights in specific abstract categories, enabling results and their application into clinical practice to be discussed, and the opportunity to network with fellow colleagues.

IMPAKT, provides the forum to present and discuss advances in cutting-edge translational research.  It showcases ways to quickly transform laboratory discoveries into tools that clinicians can use to help make decisions about the way they treat patients in their daily practice.
