Philanthropic funding

• Unrestricted gifts
  Funding of educational initiatives that provide the Foundation with flexible response to cover costs not entirely funded by other sources

• Restricted gifts
  Donor chooses specific initiatives they wish to fund, e.g. "ESMO Foundation Campaigns" or individual initiatives like the "Benefit Concerts" or the "Advanced Communication Skills Course"

Sponsorship Funding

• Services
  Extensive opportunity for Partners to link their companies and brands to specific programmes & initiatives

• Events
  Encourage Partners to set up specific events, e.g. Golf Challenges

• Campaigns
  Partners support ESMO Foundation campaigns to help us target "Fight the Global Cancer Epidemic"

• Partner Fund Raising
  Partners may allow us opportunities to communicate with their employees & customers providing methods to donate to Foundation that can build customer loyalties & branding opportunities for Partner

Grants

Grants are specifically provided for research, educational programs, publications or products and are non-promotional in nature.
The ESMO Foundation grant and charitable contribution opportunities include:

• Visits to Translational Research Units - (2,500 EUR): support young oncologists to learn how translational research (research transforming discoveries arising from laboratory, clinical or population studies into clinical applications to reduce cancer incidence, morbidity and mortalit, research transforming ‘bench’ discoveries into ‘bedside’ applications) is performed at outstanding European cancer centers.

• ESMO Foundation Palliative Care Grants – (5,000 EUR): support for oncologists or oncology fellows to spend  one month of observation and research at one of the ESMO "Designated Centers of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care" in order to gain additional experience in palliative care research.

• ESMO Foundation Developing Countries Grants – (5,000 EUR): support young oncologists from developing countries in European projects pertaining to all areas of cancer research.

• ESMO Foundation Fellowship Grants – (25,000 EUR): support young oncologists to spend a year in an outstanding European research/clinical center in order to conduct research on a predefined and approved project.
