ESMO provides various tools which aid oncologists in their daily practice. These tools include recommendations for basic standards of care, clinical practice tools, and a more comprehensive approach detailed in the ESMO handbooks. ESMO will continue to develop this series of online tools with the aim of providing easily accessible resources to assist oncologists in their daily practice as well as with patient care and management.
ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines
The ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) are intended to provide oncologists with a set of recommendations for the best standards of cancer care, helping them in delivering an appropriate quality of care to their patients.

ESMO developed a set of organ-specific tools designed to assist oncologists in their professional and operational goals, such as improving patients’ treatment evaluation and management documentation. In particular ESMO developed some disease-specific in colorectal cancer, non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphomas, germ cell tumours, prostate cancer and general prognostic and predictive tools. In addition you can find also Guidelines for treating paravasates of cytostatic drugs. Our available interactive tools are body surface area calculator, creatinine clearance – AUC – dosing calculator, PSA doubling time calculator and treatment response evaluation according to RECIST and WHO criteria.
