This ambitious project conducted by the Young Oncologists Committee of ESMO, and led by Dr Raffaele Califano from The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, aims to understand the use of adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy in incompletely resected (R1) early stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, throughout Europe.

Data from oncologists all over Europe treating patients with lung cancer was gathered via a short questionnaire – the survey closed mid-March 2012. In total, 788 replies were received from 41 countries.

It is the hope of the YOC that the collected data will be presented at the ESMO Congress 2012 in Vienna. We would like to thank everyone who filled in the questionnaire and extend a very special thank you to all the individuals and organisations who helped disseminate the survey across Europe.
