Fellowship type

Fellowship in clinical research.
Department of Medical Oncology

Length: Two years, start in September - October 2010 or sooner if possible

An academic certificate (Université catholique de Louvain) will be delivered at the end of the fellowship. A fellowship grant will be paid by the Centre du Cancer to cover his/her regular expenses during his/her stay in Belgium. The inscription to the academic program as well as a health and work insurances will also be provided.

  • should be a fellow in medical oncology (with experience) or a medical oncologist or have a similar qualification
  • foreigner (EU or outside EU)
  • should speak French fluently
  • knowledge in molecular biology and translational research are not mandatory but will be welcome

Job Description

Main activities during the fellowship:

  1. will be involved in the design of academic clinical studies
  2. take care of patients included in phase 1 trials or treated with new systemic agents
  3. participation to the translational research program of the oncology laboratory
  4. participation to the clinical and scientific activities of the department of medical oncology
