Training Experience Required | We invite medical doctors who have successfully completed at least 2 years of internal medicine training to participate in our phase I/ translational research work. It is mandatory to master the dutch language before patient related work can start |
General description | We work in a large academic hospital with over 10.000 employees. Our unit is at the core of a focus point for research in our institute. It is situated centrally in the Netherlands in a lively student town. |
Expertise | Our department is an experienced phase I center and performs up to 10 phase I studies at any given time. We have close connections to our own medical oncology laboratory and perform Next Generation Sequencing on patient samples in-house. Our goal is to set up a translational research line using Next Generation Sequencing to generate mutational profiles in metastatic lesion from patients to guide treatment. |
Facilities | We have a phase I unit that is fully equipped. Our lab is equipped to perform basic science, mouse model work and Next Generation Sequencing. Our clinical unit has a state of the art palliative care team. |
