General description	The Vienna General Hospital is the hospital of the Medical University of Vienna. It is one of the largest hospitals in Europe with 2000 beds covering the full medical and research program.
Expertise	The Division of Hematology and Hemostaseology is dedicated to translational research in malignant hematology as well as blood coagulation. Areas of expertise include molecular biology of leukemias and lymphomas, drug testing, microenvironment models, preclinical and clinical coagulation research (bench to bedside).
Facilities	The Division has 7 research groups and is fully equipped for molecular basic as well as translational state-of-the-art research. Clinical trials (phase I - III) are run in most areas of hematologic diseases.
