Training Experience Required | The fellow need to have at least one year of clinical experience in oncology. For a translational research fellow documented lab experience is needed. The main focus of Center for Cancer Immune Therapy is cancer immune therapy so this subject should be of special interest to the fellow. |
General description | Copenhagen University Hospital, Herlev is located approx. 15 km outside Copenhagen. Department of Oncology is one of five national cancer centres and the largest department at the hospital with almost 5000 new cancer patients every year. |
Expertise | Center for Cancer Immune Therapy (CCIT)is tightly associated with Department of Oncology. The main focus of CCIT is translation of immunotherapeutic strategies into clinical testing. Basic and preclinical research are every year introduced in the clinic through establishment of phase I/II trials. CCIT have approx 25 employees including PhD students and post docs with a broad background forming a very multidisciplinary team. |
Facilities | A well equiped radiotherapy section and an unit for experimental therapy is present. Furthermore, Center for Cancer Immune Therapy have advanced lab facilities including a validated clean room for preparation of therapeutic cellular products and cancer vaccines. |
