Best Exam Award

The ESMO Best Exam Award for academic excellence is presented annually to the oncologist who received the highest score in the ESMO Examination in Medical Oncology.

2011 ESMO Best Exam Award

Out of a total of 203 candidates who sat the 2011 ESMO Examination, Dr Friedrich Schuhmacher, who took the the exam in Lucerne, scored the highest mark.

Martine Piccart, ESMO President, will announce Dr Schuhmacher's success during the 37th ESMO Congress in Vienna, Austria.

2010 ESMO Best Exam Award

Out of a total of 265 candidates who sat the 2010 ESMO Examination, Dr. Burkhard-Meier, who took the exam in Milan during the 2010 ESMO Milan Congress, scored the highest mark.

During the 2011 EMCC in Stockholm, Prof. Kerr announced Dr. Burkard-Meier's success.

2009 ESMO Best Exam Award

Out of a total of 229 candidates who sat the 2009 ESMO Examination, Dr. Wehmeyer Juergen, who took the exam in Berlin during the ECCO 15 – ESMO 34th Multidisciplinary Congress, scored the highest mark.

During the 35th ESMO Congress in Milan, Prof. Kerr announced Dr. Wehmeyer‘s success.

2008 ESMO Best Exam Award

Out of a total of 190 candidates who sat the 2008 ESMO Examination, Philippe Bedard, who sat the exam in Stockholm during the 33rd ESMO Congress, scored the highest mark.

During the ECCO 15 – ESMO 34th Multidisciplinary Congress, José Baselga presented him with his Award.
