Limited attendance
In order to
guarantee the highest quality standard, attendance at the course has been
limited to 25 delegates. Applications fulfilling all the criteria will be
accepted on a first come, first served basis. Accepted participants will be
informed shortly after application.
Who should attend
Oncologists
who wish to enhance their communication skills when talking with patients and
their families.
The course is suitable for senior doctors
in cancer medicine or surgery and those who have a minimum of 3 years in
specialist training. All participants should have good English but there are
options for small group work to be in French or German.
Registration fee
The
course is mainly sponsored by the ESMO Foundation. Participants are charged a
registration fee of 175 EUR, which
is not refundable and must be paid upon confirmation of a place. Please note
that in case of late cancellation or no-show the organizers will charge a
"damage fee" of 500 EUR per person.
Registration includes
- The 3-day course, including relevant material distributed
onsite
- Lunches and dinners
- Accommodation from 18 to 20 June 2008 (2 nights). Extra
nights may be booked but will be charged on a private basis.
