should have a good knowledge of English, however small group works will be possible
also in French and German

The course model is
learner-centered and integrates
exercises and activities designed to create simultaneous skills development,
knowledge acquisition and personal awareness of how these impact both doctor
and patient.
Work
on specific skills in small groups with standardized patients (trained
actors), video review of interviews, and group critique will create a safe
and constructive environment.

Typical
topics will include:
- Seeking informed consent to
clinical trials
- Dealing with relatives
- Handling transitions from
active to palliative care
- Giving complex information
- Coping with colleagues
Sessions
are structured around these areas and any other topics that are considered important
to participants.

Participants
are strongly advised to take out their own personal and travel insurance coverage.

for citizens of EU member countries. Nationals of non-EU member countries are
