Meetings

ESMO cooperates with national oncology associations and institutes, cancer leagues and other local groups to ensure the highest academic standards in their programs and to stimulate continuing medical oncology education and training. 

The Society evaluates meeting agendas for their scope and educational objectives and grants the ESMO label to the association’s meeting and continuing education accreditation points to participants.

ESMO also supports meetings organized by local groups by providing expert speakers from the ESMO Faculty.   

In addition, ESMO works in partnership with specific societies and organizations in jointly developing educational events which focus on a particular oncological topic.

ESMO promotes open communication and sharing of experience and knowledge between oncology patients, caregivers and family members, and medical professionals through interactive events designed for a non-scientific audience.
