2007 ESMO Lifetime Achievement Award in Translational Research in Breast Cancer, supported by an unrestricted educational grant from GlaxoSmithKline

The 2007 ESMO Lifetime Achievement Award in Translational Research in Breast Cancer is open to all international research groups with demonstrated commitment to Translational Research in Breast Cancer.

 Criteria:   Candidates must demonstrate and affiliation to a major academic or cancer research / treatment institution(s).

The group leader will be invited to receive the award on behalf of the research group.

The research group chosen for the 2007 ESMO Lifetime Achievement Award will receive:

  • A research grant of € 50,000
  • The opportunity to present the group's research findings during the 33rd ESMO Congress (through the group leader)
  • Free registration to the Congress
  • Free accommodation in Stockholm for the Congress
  • Reimbursement for Congress travel expenses

 Nominations for candidates must include:

  • Name of the candidate group
  • A letter of recommendation from an ESMO Full member describing the candidate group's major achievements with regard to the award and explaining their impact on the field of oncology
  • A track record of original research achievements in the field of Translational Research in Breast Cancer
