2nd ESMO Lugano Patient Seminar
The 2nd ESMO
Patient Seminar, dedicated to cancer patients, family members, representatives
of cancer leagues and patient groups, will be held on Saturday, 5 July during
the ESMO Conference Lugano 3-6 July 2008. The Seminar will cover a wide
range of subjects, with the aim of encouraging direct interaction and communication
between oncology patients and healthcare professionals.
The Patient Seminars fulfil one of ESMO's most important
objectives - to disseminate knowledge to cancer patients, their caregivers and
the public, as well as to maintain close collaboration with cancer leagues and
patient groups. This will help to promote equal access to optimal cancer
treatment and care.

The ESMO Patient Seminar will be held at the congress venue of the ESMO Conference Lugano, the Palazzo dei Congressi, Lugano, Switzerland.

The official language of the Lugano patient Seminar is Italian. translation to other languages will not be available.

|
Limited financial support to facilitate participation by interested
patients and family members will be available from ESMO upon
application.
