Who can
submit an abstract?
Abstracts may be submitted by anyone wishing to present their study data during the ESMO Conference Lugano.
What major
requirements apply?
- Each abstract must be sponsored by a current Full
member of the European Society for Medical Oncology.
- The material must not have been previously published in any publication in peer review setting or presented at a meeting of any other
scientific organization prior to the ECLU 2008.
- The character limit for all
submitted abstracts is 2,000 excluding spaces. This limit includes characters
entered in the title, abstract body and table fields (default of 225 characters
per table) but not the author names and institutions
When and
how?
- By 20 February 2008 on paper or online

A travel
grant is a subsidy for travel ticket, accommodation and Conference registration.
Who can apply for a travel grant?
- All abstract submitters aged 40
years or younger can apply for a travel grant.
- The ECLU 2008 Working Group
will award a restricted number of
travel grants (where requested) based on the merits of abstracts submitted to the Conference.
What major requirements apply?
- Submitters must be aged 40 years
or younger
- The following documents must be received, by the ESMO Congress
Department in Lugano, Switzerland by the relevant abstract
deadline:
- letter
of introduction by the applicant
- proposed abstract (the applicant must be the first author and presenter)
- readable photocopy of either identity card or passport
- short curriculum vitae (2 pages maximum)
Incomplete
applications will not be considered. |
