Multidisciplinary Oncology Committee
The ESMO Multidisciplinary Oncology Committee (MOC) was created to provide guidance on multidisciplinary oncology activities and foster cooperation and coordination of different disciplines within ESMO, such as medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, pediatric oncology, basic research, oncology nursing, oncology pharmacists and other oncology fields.

Activities and responsibilities
Provide guidance on:
- Strengthening a multidisciplinary focus in all ESMO activities, especially at symposia level, during events such as the ESMO Congress
- Producing multidisciplinary, evidence-based ‘Consensus guidelines’ compiled by a strong network of oncology societies working together under the initiative of ESMO
- Recommending multidisciplinary faculty members to diversify the speciality-base
- Cooperating with other medical societies and disciplines in the promotion of an increasingly multidisciplinary treatment approach
