Cancer Prevention Working Group (CAPWG)
The ESMO Cancer Prevention Working Group has been formed to plan and lead the Society's cancer prevention activities and to promote and implement accepted, evidence-based components of (clinical) cancer prevention (CAP) within the educational, training, communication and publication activities of the Society.
The CAPWG will represent ESMO's cancer prevention aims and activities both in the larger oncology community and with other oncological societies, in particular ISCaP (the International Society of Cancer Prevention), ESO (the European School of Oncology) and ASCO (the American Society of Clinical Oncology).

- to increase core knowledge about cancer risk and risk reduction, including enhanced visibility and accessibility of information related to cancer prevention
- promotion of cancer prevention and screening
