Dr Ruth Pettengell is a specialist in cellular and molecular medicine, with particular interest in lymphoproliferative disorders and haematological toxicities.

Dr Pettengell’s medical career started in New Zealand, where she gained experience in general medicine, nuclear medicine and endocrinology in Wellington and Auckland, before specializing in Clinical Oncology at the University Hospitals of Auckland. Dr Pettengell obtained her PhD from the University of Manchester. Following this, Dr Pettengell took a Senior Clinical Research position at the Department of Developmental Hematopoiesis, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA.

She is currently a Reader in Haematology at St George’s University and an honorary consultant in Haematolgy-Oncology at St George’s University Hospitals Foundation Trust.
