Dr Riccardo Marconcini received his MD in Medicine from the University of Pisa, Italy in 2009. He completed his specialty training in Medical Oncology at the University Hospital of Pisa, Italy in 2015.

He obtained his Master in “Clinical Trial in Oncology/haematology” at the University of Pisa in 2014 and his Master in “Immuno-oncology” at University La Sapienza, Rome, Italy in 2017. He is currently studying for his PhD in Clinical Physiopathology at the University of Pisa, and he carries out his clinical and research activity at the Oncology Department of the Santa Chiara University Hospital in Pisa.

He collaborates on national and international research projects on skin cancer (especially melanoma) and Neuroendocrine Tumours, including both clinical studies and translational oncology.

Since 2017 Dr Marconcini has been a Member of the ESMO Oncology PRO Working Group, with a particular dedication to educational projects on Melanoma/skin cancer and Endocrine/Neuroendocrine tumours.

Since 2017 he has also been a Member of the ESMO Faculty Group: Neuroendocrine, Endocrine Neoplasms and CUP. 

Dr Marconcini is member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Italian Melanoma Intergroup (IMI), the Italian Society of Medical Oncology (AIOM) and the European Society of Neuroendocrine Tumours (ENETS).
