ESMO – SEOM: Spanish Society of Medical Oncology

ESMO and the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM) signed a joint membership agreement in 2012. The aim of the partnership is to promote scientific activities and policy initiatives on both national and international levels.

ESMO – SEOM Agreement

As of the 1 August 2012, members of SEOM will be able to benefit from a simplified membership application process to join ESMO, avoiding the need for a Sponsor (i.e. details of an ESMO member who supports your application) or the need to provide an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae in English.

Additionally, as of 1 January 2015 all SEOM members eligible for ESMO Full membership will benefit from a reduced annual ESMO membership fee of €130 instead of €175 - saving €45 off the full member fee.

If you are an ESMO Full member and a member of the SEOM, to qualify for this offer you will need to enter your myESMO profile and update your affiliation details. To do this:

  • Login to myESMO
  • Select myMembership
  • Click on myAffiliation
  • Click on Spain – Sociedad Española de Oncología Médica

You will then be proposed the reciprocal membership fee at the time of renewal.

New ESMO Member?

Applicants should follow the normal ESMO membership procedure, on reaching the section asking for membership to another professional oncology society, SEOM members should indicate that they are a member of the SEOM by checking the appropriate box.

Applicants eligible for Full Membership will be proposed the reciprocal membership fee of 130€ per annum.
