Publications Sales Coordinator

The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) is offering a Publications Sales Coordinator position at the Society’s Head Office in Lugano, Switzerland. The Society’s official language is English. The post is a full-time position based in the Head Office in Lugano ideally beginning as soon as possible or at a mutually convenient date.

Publications Sales Coordinator

The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) is seeking to recruit a Publications Sales Coordinator to support the Strategic Partnerships Department and other ESMO departments (e.g. Medical Affairs, Communications) with the management, organisation and control of the sales orders for a selection of ESMO publications. The role also includes assistance in the development of commercial support material (Online and in print) like a product catalogue which supports the promotion of a selection of ESMO print and online publications.

Suitable applicants should possess the following:

Educational skills:

  • Degree or professional experience in office management. Proficient use of Power-Point, Word, Excel, Online platforms, Social media, websites etc. an advantage.
  • Experience in developing product marketing material and associated campaign outputs.
  • Ideally the correct candidate will have a publishing background with aspects of product campaign management and a Life Sciences degree.

Professional experiences:

  • Publishing qualifications desired but not essential.
  • Experience within a major publishing company or similar organisation desired.
  • Any experience of working within either the Pharmaceutical Industry, Medical or similar environment would be excellent.

Technical skills:

  • As previously mentioned use of online tools such as Power-point, Excel, Word, Office etc. and a proficient business/office background.
  • Ability to present key marketing concepts internally to colleagues and department heads Numeracy, ability to interpret and report of sales budgets and revenues.
