ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines: Lung cancer

The ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) are intended to provide the user with a set of recommendations for the best standards of cancer care, based on the findings of evidence-based medicine. ESMO has guidelines on Early-stage and locally advanced (non-metastatic) non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), Metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) and Malignant pleural mesothelioma.

Each Clinical Practice Guideline includes information about:

  • the incidence of the malignancy
  • diagnostic criteria
  • staging of disease and risk assessment
  • treatment plans
  • response evaluation and follow-up
