ESMO 2017: Getting Around in Madrid

A transportation pass will be given to all registered delegates together with the Congress bag.

Transportation pass

All registered delegates will receive a 5-day transportation pass, valid from Friday 8 September  to Tuesday 12 September inclusive.

The pass, Zone A Tourist Tickets, can be used on:

  • All Metro lines within the zone
  • All EMT routes (excluding the Airport Express Line)
  • All RENFE Suburban Train stations within the zone
  • Light Rail ML1


Official Taxi ranks are located outside the main venue entrance and outside the North Convention Centre.

There are several taxi consortiums working in the city of Madrid, three of which are:

Please note that if you call a taxi specifically, rather than waiting for one at an official stop, you will pay the costs of the transfer of the driver from when he receives the call to the pickup location. Please also note that the following surcharges are officially applied on fares starting or ending at: Adolfo Suarez Madrid Barajas Airport (+ 5.50 Euros), IFEMA Feria de Madrid (+ 3.00 Euros) and/or Chamartin and Atocha Train Stations (+ 3.00 Euros).
