New Chair and New Members for the Young Oncologists Committee
We are pleased to introduce the new chairperson of the Young Oncologists Committee (YOC) Raffaele Califano (Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospital of Manchester).
“Being part of this committee is a privilege, but also a great responsibility” says Raffaele, who starts his two-year term in office after a couple of years as a very active member of the YOC. “The YOC wants to listen to the needs of young oncologists in order to design tailored activities to improve their skills and help them in their careers.” Raffaele replaces Michaelis Karamouzis (Assistant Professor at the Medical School of the University of Athens).
Both the YOC and ESMO Head Office sincerely thank Michaelis for his commitment over his mandate and the significant progress the committee has made under his leadership.
