The Executive Board is the executive body of ESMO

Activities and responsibilities

The Executive Board is the executive body of the Society. The task of the Executive Board is to apply and execute the decisions of the General Assembly and to work with the Chief Executive Officer on day to day matters. The Executive Board designates which of its members shall officially represent the Society, as well as the signatory powers.

Structure

The Executive Board is composed of up to fifteen (15) members. Upon ratification of the election by the General Assembly pursuant to Article 6(b) of these Bylaws, members of the Executive Board are:

  • the President,
  • the President-Elect
  • the Past President

By right of their position, further members of the Executive Board are:

  • the Treasurer
  • the Chairperson of the Education Steering Committee
  • the Chairperson of the National Representatives Committee
  • the Chairperson of the Membership Committee
  • the Chairperson of the EU Policy Committee
  • the Chairperson of the Global Policy Committee
  • the Chairperson of the Guidelines Committee
  • the Chairperson of the Press and Media Affairs Committee

The Executive Board may appoint by co-option up to four other members
